Synopsis

In Nimes, Alice joins local expert Sophie Wildbolz to explore a beautifully preserved Roman temple, a still-used amphitheatre, and the engineering marvel of the Pont du Gard. A short train ride takes her to Narbonne, where a striking new museum and a Roman harbour excavation await. Her final train crosses into Spain, to a resort once run by ancient Greek traders on a bustling beach.
